Alejandra catches ideas from her travels around the world to bring you the latest in contemporary jewelry design.
The Madrilenian Alejandra graduated in Law from San Pablo C.E.U. University in Madrid. Later, she followed postgraduate and master’s courses in Law, Economy and Common Politics.
During her childhood, Alejandra loved family travels around the world, and enjoyed visiting Art and History Museums, discovering foreign cultures, traditions, shapes and colours that greatly influenced her passion for design and jewelry. She remembers that from each travel her parents brought her a small jewel reflecting the visited country.
After her studies, Alejandra started designing jewels (necklaces, bracelets, rings,...). At the beginning, it was only for her family and friends, but the interest for her creations rapidly increased and in 1998, she created the firm Alexandra Plata.
Alejandra catches ideas from her travels around the world to bring the latest in contemporary jewelry design. Using a combination of noble materials including sterling silver, leather, pearls, crystals and gemstones, she creates original and glamorous jewels under the brand Alexandra Plata.
Since her very first collection, Alejandra has developed with passion creative jewelry with avant-garde and elegant designs. Her aim has always been to design jewels that do not make a difference between races, cultures or living styles. “They must greatly extol any personal style and beauty.”
Rapidly her collections seduced international shops and departments stores like El Corte Inglés, Aldeasa or Les Galeries Lafayette.
In December 2006, Alexandra Plata opened its first flagship store in the A.B.C Serrano mall in Madrid, to show its entire collections and to be closer to its clients.
